Stuff I like


Here is some stuff that I like:

1. My Scoot. It's a 1985 Honda Aero. Because its an 80cc, you have to have a motorcycle licence to drive it. My aunt gave it to me, and its cost next to nothing to get running; its $4 for a tank of the highest quality gas I can buy, and that lasts for about a week. When I inherited it this summer, it
only had 906kms on it.

2. Vodka. I particularly like flavoured vodka;
mango absolut is yummy. Generally I drink it with soda and lime, but cranberry juice is also good. Some of my favourite mixed drinks
including vodka are:
  • Caesers
  • Vodka Soda
  • Apple Martinis
  • Vodka Lemonade
  • Sex on the Beach
3. Craig. Craig is my boyfriend. He pretends that he doesn't like me sometimes, but he does. He makes me laugh. If he ever reads this blog, he will HATE that I am talking about him.

4. Travelling. I love travelling. Next year I want to take a
big trip. I want to go away for a few months to Asia. Right now I am thinking China for a month, Thailand for a few weeks, and vietnam and cambodia for a few weeks. My last vacation was to Costa Rica. It has been years since I've been to europe, so I would really like to head back there within the next year. Im thinking maybe Spain.

Here is some stuff that I DONT like:

1. Work. Work is gay. Having to get up early and think and do stuff. LAME
2. The UFE. Its hard. And frustrating. And who are these stupid people in the questions?
3. The bus. I hate the bus and bus people. No matter where you are in the world, the caliber of people on the bus is always horrible. I hate smelly people, and people with strollers, and the homeless with their bottles and cans
4. The homeless. If I gave $1 to every homeless person who asked, I would be broke. Its not my fault you took up drugs and are now living on streets. Shitty deal. But don't bug me.

Turkey and Greece

Turkey Day 6: Ephesus/Kusadasi This was our last full day in Turkey.  We had an early start to get to Ephesus, which is one of Turkey's most important archeological sights....it was definitely the most impressive we saw.   A good portion of the city is still in tack, including the theatre, the library, a number of streets and bath houses.  I think the most interesting for me was the public bathroom which was still standing.  The oldschool toilets were beside one another along a bench.  The whole thing was fairly well designed as the room included an open water pipe (in front of the bench toilets) which was used for cleaning ones bum off.  Apparently the latrines were social places; even if you had a toilet at home, you might have a membership to the public toilets as well....I guess so that you could 'shoot the shit' with your friends....literally. Cape Town

Hi All, One last post from Africa.  I’m really not that keen to go back to Australia and to work on Tuesday. I could easily just take a few more weeks off and go up to Namibia.  I’ve met a few people who are doing two week trips from here in Cape Town up the coast of Namibia.  I think that will be my next trip to Africa. Anyway, I’ve spent the last 4 days in Cape Town and it’s a great city. Unfortunately I didn’t get the best weather while here, as it is winter. All things considered, it could have been worse if it poured the whole time, but I had a lot of grey skies and clouds. So I didn’t quite get to do everything I wanted, but it was still good. Just means I’ll have to come back. On Wednesday when I arrived the weather was wonderful.  Sunny and warm. Unfortunately I didn’t arrive until 2:45pm, so by the time I was checked into my hotel it was already 3:30-4. 'Merica

Hello friends  Thought I would write a short blog post since I'm a) overseas and b) sitting alone at a restaurant with nothing better to do. I'm in the south/central US for work on a client here. I spent the weekend in Houston with some colleagues, who are there for work for a different client, before flying up to Kansas City (Missouri.....not Kansas) for the week. Unfortunately I'm here in KC alone - I have a team working for me here, but they live in KC. So in the evenings they go home, and it's dinner for 1.  It's been over 4 years since I was last in the US (unless you count a half day jaunt to the outlet mall near Bellingham two years ago-which I don't) and even then, that trip 4 years ago was Vegas (which also sort of doesn't count). The only time I've been down south before was in 2010 when I visited friends in Arkansas and Texas (Austin).
